Between August 2007 and April 2025, ROV KIEL 6000 has been deployed during 31 expeditions from 8 different research vessels and during several tests.
During these expeditions and tests, ROV KIEL 6000 completed 402 dives.
While having been in the water almost 3220 hours, ROV KIEL 6000 spent more than 2330 hours at the seafloor (or at working depth in the pelagic (approx. 92 hours), as during the last cruise M209 ).
During expedition SO210 on board RV SONNE, ROV KIEL 6000 reached its greatest diving depth of more than 6000 m off the coast of Chile.
Until today (February 2025), more than 210 articles (mostly peer-reviewed) to which ROV KIEL 6000 contributed were published, and at least 95 new species sampled by ROV KIEL 6000 are described to date. More new species of under investigation.
