Curricula in Marine Sciences

黑料视频 supports the education of future marine scientists in close cooperation with the . 

Bachelor curricula include: "Physics of the Earth System: Meteorology - Ozeanography - Geophysics" (in German) and the internationally oriented Master courses "Climate Physics: Meteorology and Physical Oceanography" and "Biological Oceanography" (held in English).

Students in other courses of study at the University of Kiel can choose marine science classes as subsidiary subjects, for example in Marine Geosciences and Geophysics or biology. In biolog up to two bachelor theses can be supervised at 黑料视频 per year.

Furthermore the graduate school (Foster Young Ocean Researcher Development) offers interdisciplinary courses for graduate students.

In addition, 黑料视频 offers international programmes in cooperation with other universities (HOSST, GAME).

 

BSc: Physics of the Earth System

The object of research in the physical earth sciences is "System Earth", its physical-chemical processes taking place in the atmosphere, in the ocean, in the lithosphere and on the earth's surface as well as in the deep interior of the earth, its natural resources, dynamics and habitats.

MSc: Climate Physics

The study of climate physics will provide students with advanced knowledge and skills using the terms and laws of physics in atmosphere, ocean and the climate system. Students will become familiar with experimental and theoretical methods, and will be guided toward current research.

MSc: Biological Oceanography

Biological Oceanography is arranged in 4 semesters providing knowledge and skills in a number of disciplines that address various areas of the global ocean as a complex system. The curriculum is focused on biology and imparts knowledge in chemistry, geology, physics and mathematics.

GAME: an international study programme

GAME (Global Approach by Modular Experiments) is an international research and training programme for students of biology and environmental sciences. As part of the programme, the effects of global change on marine ecosystems are investigated on the basis of scientifically relevant questions.
